Adams Scholars

Established in 2016 by C. Daniel Adams ’83, a USC Upstate alumnus, UofSC Board Trustee, and former member of both the Spartanburg County Commission for Higher Education and the USC Upstate Foundation Board, Mr. Adams wished to assist students attending his alma mater who may be struggling to meet the financial needs associated with earning a higher education.

To qualify for this scholarship, the future Adams Scholars must be working towards completing a 4-year degree as a full-time student, maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA, complete their FASFA application and demonstrate financial need. Additionally, the potential recipient must meet with the Vice-Chancellor of Enrollment Services to discuss their application.
