Hunter Nelmes Scholarship for Music

The Hunter Nelmes Scholarship goes to support two Commercial Music majors in the USC Upstate’s Commercial Music program to contribute to future scholars’ success academically and in the performing arts. The scholarship will be audition-based but remains open to all students regardless of student class (freshman, sophomore, junior, senior) or GPA. The recipients must also join a music ensemble after being advised by the Commercial Music faculty in the Fall. Additionally, the Hunter Nelmes Scholarship may be renewable, so long as the students remain enrolled in the Commercial Music program, remain active in the music ensemble, and show progress in their degree. The recipients will be known as the “Hunter Nelmes Scholars.” This scholarship awards up to $1,000 per year per student.
