Adult & Non-Traditional Student Book Award
Established in 2021 by an anonymous USC Upstate Academic Advisor, this book award is meant to help adult and non-traditional students pay for textbook expenses with the USC Upstate Bookstore and alleviate the financial burden of attending college. To be considered for this award. the adult and non-traditional student must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours, have a minimum 2.5 GPA, and have expressed financial need. Applicants must also provide a copy of their registered classes for the upcoming semester, total textbook expenses from the USC Upstate Bookstore, and provide a brief explanation for why they need this book award. Once awarded, the recipient may retrieve a voucher at the Financial Aid Office to use at the University’s bookstore toward their textbook expenses. This award may be up to $200.
